I come from a non horsy family and have only been involved with horses since first starting to ride at the age of fifteen – I started riding at a local Riding for the Disabled Association Group as it was suggested by my physio at the time, and from then I caught the bug for dressage. At first I competed at the RDA National Championships in 2003 and 2005, then took up para equestrian dressage in 2005 when I competed at the RDA Regional Qualifiers and at the RDA National Championships in my first dressage competitions. I was talent spotted at a British Para Dressage competition in 2006 and was invited to attend the selection trials for the World Class Para Equestrian Dressage Development Programme late in 2006 and was successful in being selected to join the programme from 2007 -2014.

I now compete at national and international competitions. To date I have represented Great Britian at nine internationals.

I currently own Upsall’s Elton or Elton he is known to his friends, who is a 5 year old gelding. We are a fairly new partnership as he has only been with us since mid-May. He has a very promising career ahead of him and has already proving to be very trainable taking extremely well to his job as a para-dressage. He will be making his competition debut very soon …
